Okay. Okay. Okay... there are parts of following Jesus that don't feel awesome. Unfortunately, my flesh is very aware of this right now. Doing the right thing is hard. The world tells us we don't have to.
The world says to put yourself first not God and others.
The world says to spend your money not write your tithe check.
The world says why be celibate if no one will ever really know.
The world says to stretch the truth when God says the truth will set you free.
Alright, you get my point. I have to remind myself (a lot lately) that obedience does lead to life and life abundantly and that God is not holding anything back from me that is for my good. My challenge for us today is to do right even when it feels wrong with a cheerful outlook.
