I Believe

"I believe, Thou help my unbelief." These are the words of a father in Mark 9. Looking Christ face to face, he still had some unbelief in his heart.

How often in life do we know that Jesus is Lord of all and Lord of our life and still have a twinge of doubt? I talk frequently about getting head knowledge before heart knowledge... that is another way of saying "I believe, Thou help my unbelief."

Do I have any doubt that I have accepted Christ as Savior and he lives within me? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Is my relationship with Christ easy or perfect? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Are their strongholds, bondage, fears, anxieties and just junk in my way? Yes.

However, I still believe.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried;the third day he rose from the dead;he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Oh Lord, I do believe, Thou help my unbelief.
