I wrote this yesterday and I am unsure why it didn't publish so here it is again.
I love napping! I mean really deep down love it. I will nap any time basically anywhere, but my favorite is a good, long Sunday afternoon nap. I nap primarily out of laziness probably, but I am also legitimately tired.
I was thinking about thinking about my love affair with napping and remembered that Jesus napped at least once too. In the midst of a raging storm, Jesus was said to be asleep on the boat. His disciples woke him up out of fear; they needed him to calm the storm. This may be a theological leap but stay with me for a minute. Sometimes in the midst of my storms I just have to trust God's got it and sleep instead of worry. Other times people around me rouse me to fight off the Enemy. I have to know to trust God in each; however, there is a time to sit back and relax and there is a time to fight like my life depends on it (because honestly it does).
I do not see a time in the near future that I am going to give up my Sunday afternoon nap. I do see a time of fighting for everything I am worth to get the devil off my back and even in the fight and the storm, I can hear Jesus whisper, "Peace, be still."
