I read this book several years ago and then again about a week ago. Although there are some great universal themes in the book, the one that sticks out over and over to me is needing a teacher. We all need a mentor, a guide, a teacher, a friend. Life is full of ups and downs, ins and outs, surprises and bumps. It is nice to have someone to go through life with people who can guide you when things are at their worst.
Nearly everyone in scripture has someone they look up to, take advice from and whatnot. I am glad there are people in my life right now that I can talk to.
